Top 5 Family Friendly Hotels

This post was written in association with Loveholidays

What kind of holiday are you craving in 2019? Is there a certain hotel that friends have raved about and has made it onto your bucket list? My list seems to be never-ending!   However I thought it would be great to share my top 5 family-friendly hotel hotspots.

We are huge fans of the Shangri-La brand here at Jetlag & Mayhem which seems to replicate a winning formula for the family traveller. We have stayed at many of their properties over the years, including the Shangri-La Tanjong Aru and Shangri-La Taipei. 2019 sees the opening of the Shangri-La’s Nusa Dua Resort & Spa in Bali. Bali has so many of the big brands there so it will be interesting to see what the Shangri-La brings to the table.

In 2018, I had my first experience of an all inclusive resort at Club Med Bintan. It was so much fun and I loved not having to make any payments and just flash the wristband when I wanted a cocktail. If all-inclusive is on your radar, check out Loveholidays to find your perfect next hotel. I’ve got my eye on one of the Amwaj Rotana Jumeirah Beach. Dubai continues to grow in popularity and that’s no doubt in part to the many awesome activities for kids including IMG Worlds of Adventure and KidZania.

If you read my travel bucket list, you’ll see a Hawaii roadtrip features.   There are so many beautiful spots but the Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore of Oahu has stolen my heart. They can organize the chance to cage dive with sharks, although I’m not quite sure if I’m brave enough!

Also featuring on my travel bucket list is a trip to the temples of Borobudur in Central Java, Indonesia. One of my favourite bloggers, Mum On The Move, rounds up her selection of hotels in the area plus tips on visiting the temple. I love the look of Villa Borobudur. The six individually designed villas here all boast stunning views over the surrounding valley, including Borobudur Temple and Mount Merapi volcano.

Last on the list is a trip to Marrakech to stay in a traditional ‘Riad’. Plus all the amazing shopping in the souk! There are so many Riads to choose from but Les Maison Des Oliviers has glowing reviews.
