Bali With Kids – Villa Jamalu Review

If you want a luxurious holiday, get yourself to Bali and rent a private villa. Staying in a villa often works out cheaper than a hotel, particularly if you’re travelling in a group.

Villa Jamalu, Jimbaran Bay – Bali

Last week in Oct 2013.  Weather was stunning!  Hot and sunny but not humid.  It rained twice in the evening.

Villa Booking
My husband won a week at Villa Jamalu in a charity auction

Indonesia Visa
Per person it is USD $25 on arrival (in cash). On exit every person pays a fee to leave the country.  We paid $40 a person including kids for speedy exit which seemed useful but not sure what to compare it to!

Getting there
The direct flight as ok (Cathay).  We paid for a VIP service so we were able to miss out on all the queues at immigration – well worth it with small kids!

Airport transfer
Arranged a car for pick up, took approx. 20 minutes

The Villa

Villa Jamalu is a luxury 4 bed villa, a few minutes walk from Jimbaran bay.  Noah (4 yo) slept in our room on a pull out bed, baby Ari slept in the nanny’s room in a travel cot and Adiella slept in a separate bedroom in a travel cot.

The villa was huge with a playroom, lounge, gym, massage room, pool table and nice sized pool.  The staff were very helpful and put fencing around the pool to make it safe for the kids.  The staff were so nice!

As we had brought our nanny with us, we didn’t use the villa staff for babysitting although it was great to have an extra pair of hands at times.

Excursions outside the villa

We went to Bali Safari & Marine Park which was brilliant!

We only ever ate in the villa as we had a chef and the food was exceptional!

In Conclusion…

This was an amazing holiday, one of our best and I would love to go back to Villa Jamalu.
